'Revenge' Star Gabriel Mann Comes to Beijing
American actor Gabriel Mann, star of the hit television series 'Revenge', arrived at Beijing yesterday to attend the premiere of his new film, 'The Truth about Nolan'. When asked about his impression of the Chinese capital, he replied with a few sentences in mandarin Chinese.
As it was his first visit to Beijing, he chose to tour around famous scenic spots such as the Temple of Heaven and the Bird's Nest. He said that he enjoyed sampling Beijing food specialties such as bean curd juice, the taste of which he described as "very unique".
Although he mainly spoke in English during the promotion for the film, he occasionally spoke in Chinese when greeting people and introducing himself. Two examples are when he said, "大家好", which means "hello everyone", and "我是 Gabriel", meaning "I'm Gabriel". Mann added that he loved China and would be back soon.
