"中国制造"闪烁世界杯 "Made in China" Shines at the World Cup

尽管中国足球队不太可能给大家带来惊喜,另一支由中国企业组成的"国家队"成为本届世界杯中国人的骄傲.很多中国制造的商品成为今年巴西世界杯的一大亮点.

Although the Chinese National Football Team may not bring us many surprises, another National Team formed by Chinese companies has become the pride of Chinese people. Many products made in China highlight the 2014 World Cup in Brazil.

本届世界杯的吉祥物"福来哥"(Fuleco)是由浙江省杭州市协程实业有限公司生产的.该公司是2014巴西世界杯吉祥物长毛绒玩具,3D玩偶,钥匙链,派对产品和汽车配饰的官方授权经营商.

Fuleco, the mascot for this year's tournament, was actually manufactured by Kayford Holdings Ltd, a Chinese company based in Hangzhou, Zhejiang province. The company is the official licensee of the 'FIFA 2014 Brazil World Cup' for the production of plush mascots, mascot 3D figurines, key chains, party products and car accessories.

Three Chinese companies, among other firms worldwide, were chosen as the suppliers of the live scoreboards at several stadiums in Brazil. Two of them are situated in Shenzhen, one in Changsha, central China's Hunan province.

China's Yingli Green Energy Holding Co has become one of the eight sponsors - and the only Chinese company - of the world's most widely watched sporting event. Yingli has provided 27 sets of solar panels to power all the stadium lighting masts in the host cities of the World Cup. It has also installed solar power stations in the media centers.

International businessmen have been busy importing flags for the upcoming World Cup, mostly from the Yiwu International Trade City. Statistics from the Yiwu customs office show that sporting goods shipped to Brazil were worth .25 million in the first quarter, up 41.7 percent from a year earlier. Total exports from the township stood at .2 million in the same period, growing 15.8 percent year-on-year.

Chinese-made wigs have become a must-buy product for worldwide soccer fans and a best-seller in the Yiwu International Trade City, the world's largest small commodity wholesale market in east China's Zhejiang province.

Chinese-made electrical multiple-unit trains will be deployed at the World Cup soccer tournament to ease heavy traffic congestion from June 12 to July 13, connecting main stadiums with other areas of the city.

Two large hybrid buses from China, which underwent a month of testing, will join diverse fleets in Brazil to carry tourists from all over the world to the FIFA World Cup event.
